I have listed the degrees that I have earned below: Bachelors - Religious Education / Andersonville Theological Seminary Masters - Theology / Andersonville Theological Seminary Doctorate - Pastoral Counseling / Andersonville Theological Seminary PASTORAL EXPERIENCE: Assistant/Youth Pastor, 1999-2001 - Faith Baptist Church (Independent), Belleville, IL / Faith Baptist Church is a church that averaged about 400 people on a Sunday morning. At this church, I directed the youth and assisted the Pastor in leading the church. I also served in their Christian School as a basketball coach and chaplain. During my tenure at Faith Baptist Church, we purchased and renovated an old movie theater. I was directly involved in much of the decision making and learned multitudes of lessons about the do’s and don’ts of a building program. Senior Pastor, 2001-2002 - Hilltop Baptist Church (Independent), Johnstown, PA / I began pastoring this church in July of 2001. The church averaged between 60 and 70 people when we came, and, before my resignation, we were averaging between 120 and 140 people on a Sunday morning. At Hilltop Baptist Church, we were fortunate to see many come to Christ. Before our arrival, the nursery was averaging zero members. After about a year, we had between 15 and 25 toddlers and infants every Sunday in the nursery. We only stress this to show the significant amount of whole families that started to attend the church. Founding & Senior Pastor, 2002-2005 - Cornerstone Church (Independent / Non-denominational, yet Baptistic), Johnstown, PA / We started meeting with 2 other families in our living room in 2002. Before I resigned, the church was averaging between 70 and 80 people on a Sunday morning and we were outgrowing our 3rd facility (an old funeral home). Cornerstone Church was a “pastors dream” that had many first generation Christians. We only left to give our time to traveling and writing our first book, Angry Without a Cause. ![]() At Cornerstone, my wife and I hosted a TV broadcast for 3 years. The show was called “Hitting Home”. The picture to the right displays a few still-shots from the show. Senior Pastor, 2008-2009 - Forest Baptist Church (Southern Baptist Church - SBC), Hog Valley, FL. This church is akin to a mission church. It is in an extremely rural and impoverished community. During our time at the church, the church increased in size from about 35 to around 60 or 70 on Sunday mornings. We were very blessed to be able to see many come to Christ in this church. We left under good terms to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit and further the ministry of Hitting Home. Founder and Director of Hitting Home, 2002-Present - Hitting Home is a ministry that desires to reach as many people as possible through the distribution of evangelistic and discipleship materials, speaking engagements, and Christian-based marriage and family counseling. Through Hitting Home, I have been able to conduct numerous Marriage and Family Conferences, Family Crusades, and Revival services in various churches. I have also been able to publish a book called Angry Without a Cause (Contact us to request a copy). One of our 20 web sites is www.HelpwithAnger.com. On this site, you will be able to view a short video that we have produced.
